Fuel transport and fuel tanks regulations in Canada

Fuel transport and fuel tanks regulations in Canada

It is our responsibility (IBC and generator trailers manufacturers) to read, understand and stay up to date with Transport Canada regulations. Customers should never be expected to know and understand all regulations that pertain to the Dangerous Goods Transport products. One example is the CAN/CGSB-43.146-2016 regulations that was updated from CAN/CGSB-43.146-2002 https://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/tdg/moc-ibc-cgsb43146-361.html.

Regulations can differ from one province to another. When buying fuel storage or transport products from Guardian Tanks, you can expect a consultation regarding your needs and what regulations it falls under. It is then our responsibility to ensure that the product(s) that is purchased complies with all regulations currently in place at the intended usage location.

In the event that the purchased product(s) are to be used in different provinces, the Guardian Tanks experts will design them so that they will comply with the strictest regulations that they will fall under in any given Canadian province. That way, we know that they comply with any and all regulations of the intended usage locations in the country.

It is extremely important for us that our customers can rest easy, knowing that the products that they are buying from us are in accordance with the law(s) it is intended to be used under. It is part of our core values that the clients have full confidence in our expertise.
